Asian Aerospace '86

Wednesday, 15th January 1986

The third Asian Aeospace '86 (AA86) opened at Changi Airport to rumours that the Show was to move from Singapore to elsewhere in Asia, perhaps Kuala Lumpur. These were dispelled when representatives of Singapore's Economics Development Board (EDB) and organisers Cahners Exposition Group confirmed that future shows would be held in Singapore. EDB said that a new permanent site for Asian Aerospace will be completed in time for the next show. This is the first time RSAF's SIAI-Marchett S.211 Trainer Jets made its public appearance.
