Eleven More MRT Stations Opened

11 more stations, Tai Seng to Dhoby Ghaut, of the 29-station MRT Circle Line open. This makes a total of 16 station is full operation for the new Circle Line. The Circle Line designed to ease crowding on existing lines. The Circle Line original budget of $6.7 billion was exceeded after a tunnel near Nicoll Highway collapsed in 2004, killing four workers. The cost of the entire Circle Line project cost about $10 Billion Singapore Dollars.
