New LNG Terminal In Jurong Island

Construction work has begun on the new $1.5 billion Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in Jurong Island. The LNG terminal is set to boost Singapore's energy needs.

During its groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. S. Iswaran (Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry) said, 'When fully operational, it will not only help meet Singapore's growing energy needs, but also catalyse the development of a robust gas market to underpin our industrial growth.'
