First Woman Charge With Incest

A 22-year-old women charged with an alleged to have committed incest willingly her bedroom in a Serangoon flat. The offence committed in April 2008 with her 46-year-old father. This is the first case of its kind in Singapore. She have willing allowing her father to have sex with her. If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to five years.
Incest is any sexual intercourse between close relatives irrespective of their consent. Incest that is illegal in Singapore and Asian cultural taboo. Studies have confirm that incest, or inbreeding, leads to a higher proportion of congenital birth defects through an increase in the frequency of homozygotes. At any rate,the degenerative effects of inbreeding will only be significantly fatal after more than two or more repeated incest cases, and that varies depending on the number and quality of inherited congenital disorders of which the family members may be carriers.
