Thursday, 14th October 2010

After an $80 million makeover and rebranding exercise, Grand Park Orchard was officially opened for business. The hotel boasts a stylish look with an eight-storey-tall LED screen for advertising, herringbone-style panes of glass which are lit up with coloured lights at night and a four-storey retail podium at its base called Knightsbridge.

Knightsbridge is a road which gives its name to an exclusive district lying to the west of Central London. Knightsbridge is home to many of the world's richest people. It has some of the highest property prices in the world.

Orchard Road is one of the world's best-known shopping strips and boasts a clutch of glossy malls with high-street brands such as Massimo Dutti, British India, Zara and Ted Baker. The brands start to repeat themselves was you walk along Orchard Road.
