The President's Star Charity 2010 saw sure footed Le Parkour practitioner, celebrities, international artistes, dance enthusiasts and even Shaolin Fighter Monks wowing the audience for two-and-a-half hours at MediaCorp Television Station Studio. The charity show was capture live on High Definition and broadcasted live on Free-To-Air Channel 5 TV. The show is supposed to be a somber charity event but the telecasted show had so many unrelated commercial advertisement (from beauty products to luxury goods) in between segments.
The charity event raise $6 million (SGD) for the 37 beneficiaries like The Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA), The Red Cross Home for the Disabled, Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) and Children-At-Risk-Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore). The public donated about half a Million Dollars, the bulk of the money came from Corporate Donors.
