Spectacular Lunar Eclipse Show

Saturday, 10th December 2011

Singapore's astronomy enthusiast were treated to a grand view of the full lunar eclipse show. The full eclipse lasted about an hour between 10pm and 11pm local time. The weather was perfect and the sky was almost cloudless.

It's not every day the moon turns blood red because usually it's just the normal you know - light bulb colour.  But this time, it changed from bright yellow to dark orange, then red, and back again. All these within an hour.
