CEO Of SMRT Resigned

Friday, 6th January 2012

Ms Saw Phaik Hwa, CEO, has resigned from SMRT to "to pursue personal interests". Her resignation comes after two big breakdowns in SMRT-operated train services.

Saw has been very popular with SMRT investors as she has been able to consistently deliver a good bottom line for her public listed transport company. But she was very unpopular with MRT commuters due mainly with frequent train delays during rush hours, poor customer service and congested train.
