The Commissioner of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Peter Lim Sin Pang (age 52), was found guilty on Friday of corruptly obtaining oral sex from Ms Pang Chor Mui, the ex-general manager of Nimrod Engineering. Lim will be jailed for six months. Lim also faces nine other counts of corruptly obtaining sexual favours from two other women. The law professor of National University of Singapore (NUS), Tey Tsun Hang (Age 42), implicated in the sex-for-grades case has been found guilty of corruption after a trial that lasted for five months, from January to May. Prof Tey was convicted of six counts of corruptly obtaining sexual gratification in the form of gifts and sex from Ms. Darinne Ko Wen Hui, in return for giving her better grades between May and July 2010. Online Pimp, 39-year-old Tang Boon Thiew, admitted to committing 20 charges, including abetting the prostitute’s activities and living off her earnings, as well as starting the vice ring in 2010. Pimp Tang was sentenced to four years and 10 months in jail and fined S$90,000. A further 82 charges will be taken into consideration for sentencing. The court heard that he obtained 82 bookings for a 17 years old call girl (cum polytechnic student) and received about 50 per cent of her earnings. Jonathan Wong Wai Kheong, aged 25, was five years’ jail. Jonathan Wong was a former Ministry of Education scholar who was caught having sexual offences with an underage (15-year old) girl. Boon Gay was appointed as Director CNB on 18 February 2011. He joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 1991 as a Local Merit Scholar with First Class Honours in Mathematics and was appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police the following year. A man was jailed for four weeks for having sex with another man in a male toilet at first floor of Mustafa Centre and then lied about it. The 23-year-old Malay man had met another 49-year-old Chinese man at a coffeeshop near Mustafa Centre at around 1am on 14th December 2009. Both agreed to engage in a sexual activity at the public restroom located inside the Mustafa Centre, a 24-hours shopping centre.
41-year-old Chu Poh Yong, licensee of Hotel 81, was charged with five counts of allowing his rooms to be used for prostitution activities. It was believed that he have committed the offences at two of its branches, Hotel 81 Cosy at Jiak Chuan Road in the Chinatown area and Hotel 81 Mayo at Jalan Besar, between 27 April and 19 June 2010.
Under regulation 24 of the Hotels Licensing Regulations, no licensee of a hotel should allow any person whom he knows or has reason to believe is a prostitute to occupy a room in the hotel or to frequent the premises. With that note, the police have brought charges against the hotel licensee, Siah Chen Long, of Shing Hotel with is located along Kitchener Road. This is sending a strong signal to errant hotel operators to clean up their act
A 22-year-old women charged with an alleged to have committed incest willingly her bedroom in a Serangoon flat. The offence committed in April 2008 with her 46-year-old father. This is the first case of its kind in Singapore. She have willing allowing her father to have sex with her. If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to five years.
The naked Mainland Chinese woman, Ms. Li Hong Yan, in her mid-twenties was found dead in a private swimming pool in an expensive house along Ocean Drive at Sentosa Cove at around 8am. The house is owned by Mr. Adrian Chua Boon Chye. Police has classified the incident as unnatural death and investigating this case. Sentosa Cove is an expensive waterfront residential enclave in the East of Sentosa Island. A director of a Singapore Company (Far Eastern Services Pte Ltd) was jailed one and half year for having sex 14 year old female student. Sheik Esmail Raja Abdeen, 28 years old, was also fined $2,000 for having four indecent video clips on his cell phone. Mr Abdeen pick up the girl in his car at the Kembangan MRT station at 4pm on 23 October 2008.
Locally aclaimed movie director and Cultural Medallion recipient, Jack Neo, admitted that he had sex with a 20-year-old starlet (Miss Chong) inside his Toyota Alphard with curtains and very comfortable swivel car seats. 4 men was caught hawking the illegal sexual enhancement drug Power 1 Walnut pills (also known as Walnut Sex Wonder Pill), which made news early 2007 when the banned drug caused severe reactions in many men, who had to be hospitalised. Their products containing sildenafil – used for treating male erectile dysfunction. Police Officers raided their provision shop at Flanders Square off Petain Road and found assorted medicines displayed on the racks. 18 persons were found either unconscious at home or with severe and life-threatening symptoms of very low blood sugar after taking Power 1 Walnut. There were 47 suspected cases of adverse drug reactions to the same drug.
Kandang Kerbau Hospital, located near Little India, successfully carried out a second sex change operation. The operation was performed by a team of doctors – which included a psychiatrist – headed by Prof S. S. Ratnam of the University of Singapore’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The patient was a 25-year-old bachelor who was said to be working in the hotel industry. The first sex change operation was successfully carried out in Singapore in July 1971.
