BOON LAY SECONDARY SCHOOL (BLSS) was established in 1977 with 13 classes. It then had two main mediums of instruction: English and Chinese. It was officially opened by
Mr Ngeow Pack Hua, MP for Boon Lay on 2nd August 1979. In 1988, it became a solely English-medium, double-session school. Over the years, the pupil population has grown from 13 classes in 1977 to 1231 students in 36 classes. In November 1999, the school relocated to its current premises, well-equipped with special rooms and IT-enabled classrooms.
