Shaw Plaza, Twin Heights is a mixed development located along Balestier Road on the site of the former Hoover cinema. It consists of a 5-storey shopping complex and two residential towers of 21 storeys each.

The shopping complex occupies valuable frontage along Balestier Road with its own entrances separate from the residential towers. Designed with a modern finish of silver aluminium panels and glass panels, the shopping complex is a striking landmark along Balestier Road especially at night when the specially designed panels of glass at the façade are lit up. The shopping complex includes a cineplex with 6 halls on the 5th storey, providing a total of about 1280 seats.

The two residential towers are sited behind the shopping complex which serves as a buffer to busy Balestier Raod. It is provided with its own private separate entrance from a side road to maintain a degree of privacy from the shopping complex. To enhance the exclusive nature of this development, the lower floors of the residential towers are clad in a richly textured yellow / brown granite and high ceilings are designed for the podium drop-off-areas and lobbies. A specially designed one-storey high water feature flanks the two towers and frames the edge of the swimming pool which is finished in colourful blue glass mosaics.
