Yueh Hai Ching Temple or Yua Hai Qing Miao (Wak Hai Cheng Bio) translated means the "Temple of the Calm Sea built by the Guanzhou people" is a Taoist temple with its imposing entrance and wide courtyard. The Temple is divided into two portions, one dedicated to Tua Lau Yah or Heavenly Father and another to Ma Zhou or Heavenly Mother. It started as a small Temple in Telok Ayer Street in 1826.
