The Great Singapore Workout

The Great Singapore Workout was launched when the Prime Minister Goh flagged off and led a three kilometre walk-and-jog session from the National Stadium to the Padang. This was followed by a 15-minute exercise session done by a crowd of 26,107, which entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the "largest mass aerobic session held at one location". The Permanent Secretary for Health, Dr Kwa Soon Bee, received the certificate from Guinness World of Records Singapore at the launch of the Healthy Lifestyle Unit on 18 December 1993.
Air force flight school moves to Perth

The first batch of about 300 RSAF personnel and their families leaves for Pearce, Australia. They include pilot-training instructors, ground crew and technicians. These RSAF personnel are there to manage and support the Singapore Basic Wings Course.
Ong Teng Cheong As President

RSAF Plane Crashes At Paya Lebar Airport

Two pilots of a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) jet trainer ejected safely when their aircraft crashed at the Paya Lebar Airbase runway yesterday. The RSAF SIAI-Marchetti S.2ll jet aircraft was returning from a routine training flight when the accident occurred.
Asian Aerospace '92

The Sixth Asian Aerospace '92 (AA92) is a 6-day event, taking place from 25 February to 1 March 1992. The first 4 days of the Singapore Airshow are exclusively for trade attendees and the final 2 weekend days are open to general public at large. Show visitors are treated to an extra 30-minute aerobatic flying display taking place at this year’s Singapore Airshow over the public weekend. This is in addition to the 60-minute aerial display.
RSAF Jet Crashes Into Sea Off Tuas

A RSAF pilot ejects safely as jet crashes into sea. A S-2ll trainer aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force ditched into the Straits of Johor off Tuas while on a routine training flight. The trainee pilot, Second Lieutenant Wan Yoke Sing, 20, from the Flying School was rescued.
4th ASEAN Summit opened in Singapore

The 4th ASEAN, Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Summit was opened in Singapore. Representative from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei all gathered to discuss how we could cooperate to improve our economies.
US President George Bush visited Singapore

President George HW Bush became the first US President to visit Singapore at the invitation of the then President of Singapore, Dr. Wee Kim Wee.
RSAF jet crashes near Coney Island

A Republic of Singapore Air Force Hawker Hunter cashed into Singapore waters near Coney Island. The pilot of the Hunter, the oldest aircraft In the RSAF's Inventory, ejected to safety before the plane go down.
RSAF F-5E Jet Crash Into Johor
Monday, 2nd September 1991
A Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) fighter aircraft both engines caught fire crashed Kampung Sungai Tekong, south of Johor, during a routine training flight. The pilot of the F-5E aicraft ejected safely. Two people on the ground suffered minor abrasions and several vehicles in a construction site were damaged.
