Wednesday, 31st March 2010
Hewlett-Packard Singapore's new R&D lab will focus on improving the user navigation and design of its printers. Inkjet Web Solutions Global Design Centre will be up and running by early 2011. HP's researchers will look for ways to improve the company's upcoming web-enabled inkjet printers, from more intuitive touch-screen menus to allow users to select pictures from online photo galleries, to connecting the printer to networking devices with fewer mouse clicks.
HP which has a 46 per cent market share of the global printer market, will also be hiring industry experts in ergonomics, industrial design, and materials science to improve the look-and-feel of its new range of inkjet printers. Hewlett-Packard have been in Singapore since 1969.
