Asian Aerospace '92

Tuesday, 25th February 1992

The Sixth Asian Aerospace '92 (AA92) is a 6-day event, taking place from 25 February to 1 March 1992. The first 4 days of the Singapore Airshow are exclusively for trade attendees and the final 2 weekend days are open to general public at large. Show visitors are treated to an extra 30-minute aerobatic flying display taking place at this year’s Singapore Airshow over the public weekend. This is in addition to the 60-minute aerial display.


Asian Aerospace '90

This is the Fifth Asian Aerospace (AA90) show in Singapore with some 25,000 trade and 50,000 public visitors attended the five-day Asian Aerospace '90 show at Singapore's Changi International Exhibition and Conference Centre (CIECC).


Asian Aerospace '88

Wednesday, 27th January 1988

The Fourth Asian Aerospace '88 (AA88) Exhibition & Conference was opened by Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister, Goh Chok Tong. The show is located at the new permanent site at Changi Point near the air cargo complex, which covered 75,000m2. It was completed in July 1987 at a cost of $12 million. Air displays will be allowed to take place over the sea. The Airshow started on 27 January and ended on 31 January 1988.


Asian Aerospace '86

Wednesday, 15th January 1986

The third Asian Aeospace '86 (AA86) opened at Changi Airport to rumours that the Show was to move from Singapore to elsewhere in Asia, perhaps Kuala Lumpur. These were dispelled when representatives of Singapore's Economics Development Board (EDB) and organisers Cahners Exposition Group confirmed that future shows would be held in Singapore. EDB said that a new permanent site for Asian Aerospace will be completed in time for the next show. This is the first time RSAF's SIAI-Marchett S.211 Trainer Jets made its public appearance.


Asian Aerospace '84

Wednesday, 18th January 1984

The Second Asian Aerospace' 84 (AA84) Exhibition was held at Singapore Changi Airport. It was a gathering of a virtual "who is who" of the international aerospace industry. The U.S. Pavilion featured Bell Helicopter, General Dynamics Corporation, Grumman Corporation, Honeywell, Lockheed Corporation, Northrup Aircraft Group, Pratt & Whitney Government Products, Sikorsky Aircraft, Sundstrand, TRW Inc., Westinghouse, and many other leading U.S. aerospace industry firms.


The Inaugural Asian Aerospace

Wednesday, 23rd September 1981

The inaugural Asian Aerospace '81 (AA) Exhibition was held from 23 September to 27 September 1981. The fist Asian Aerospace Exhibition and Conference was held at Paya Lebar International Airport. The show formed part of Singapore Government's plans for priority development of aircraft-related industries during the 1980's plus the recent phenomenal growth in air traffic all over Asia Pacific region.
