Hundreds Of Freshmen Marched Across College Link

A large group of University Freshmen took a symbolic walk across the College Link, the link connecting Kent Ridge Campus and UTown, in steps. It marks the start of a new academic year as well as a major milestone in the history of NUS with the completion of the state-of-the-art Education Resource Centre and dormitory blocks. The first phase of its development it houses about 1,200 undergraduates and 1,700 graduate students.


Viaduct Link NUS To UTown

The new Viaduct will link the National University of Singapore (NUS) Kent Ridge campus to its 19ha, $500 million University Town (UTown), which is slated to open in phases from the Mid 2011. The 290m-long viaduct, which will span the six-lane over Ayer Rajah Expressway, will have two lanes for vehicles, a sheltered pedestrian walkway and a dedicated bicycle path. It will cost NUS about $25 million to link Kent Ridge campus with the 19ha University Town.
