San-tou-p'ing, Hubei is geographically located at latitude 30° 48' 35" North of the Equator and longitude 111° 1' 1" East of the Prime Meridian on the Map of World. Sandouping (Chinese: 三斗坪; pinyin: Sāndǒupíng) is a town in Yiling District of Yichang prefecture-level city in the Chinese province of Hubei. The predecessor of today's Sandouping is the village of Huangniupu (黄牛铺, "Yellow Cow Post Station") was established during the reign of the Hongzhi Emperor in 1496.
