Hundreds Of Freshmen Marched Across College Link

A large group of University Freshmen took a symbolic walk across the College Link, the link connecting Kent Ridge Campus and UTown, in steps. It marks the start of a new academic year as well as a major milestone in the history of NUS with the completion of the state-of-the-art Education Resource Centre and dormitory blocks. The first phase of its development it houses about 1,200 undergraduates and 1,700 graduate students.
In first phase, a total of 1,200 undergraduate students are expected to reside in Cinnamon and Tembusu colleges. And in the Graduate Residence, it will be home to 1,700 graduate students.

Construction on the second phase of UTown, comprises of two more new residential colleges and an EduSports Complex to house sporting and cultural activities. It is expected to be completed by October 2012.
