Alex Josey Died

Alex Josey, age 75, died at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and his ashes were placed at Singapore Casket in Lavender Street, Singapore. Alex Josey, a journalist Singapore and public relations officer to Lee Kwan Yew (LKY), gained prominents in Singapore for writing LKY's biography between 1959 and 1978 period. In his biography of LKY, Alex Josey described LKY's journey by ship to England to study. Each passenger was allocated one pail of water for cleaning himself in the morning. LKY would wake up extra early and used up 6 pails of water. Alex describe the event as LKY's shrewdness. However it sparked controversies as some critics calls it an act of selfishness as it depriving 5 other passengers of their water.
