Police Raided Budget Hotels In Kovan

A Police raided two budget hotels at Kovan on April Fools Day 2010 and led to the arrest of 12 female Chinese nationals for vice-related crime. The suspects had earlier advertise their sexual services on the Internet.

Under the Singapore Women's Charter, any person who lives on the earnings of the prostitution of another person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years and shall also be liable to a fine of up to $10,000. For male offender is also liable to caning.
