ABC Was Established

The Archipelago Brewery Company (ABC) opened its first commercial brewery in Alexandra Road. ABC was started by Brauerei Beck & Co., a German brewery, which started bottling Anchor Beer.

Update 1941: The British seized ABC factory deeming it enemy territory with German ties. Archipelago Brewery Company Ltd was struck off the Registrar of Business and its assets sold to Malayan Breweries which formed a subsidiary company name Archipelago Brewery Co. (1941) Pte. Limited.
Update 1942: The Japanese Imperial Army seized the ABC factory and started bottling Kirin and Dai-Nippon Beer.
Update 1960: Anchor Beer outsold Tiger Beer 9 to 1. Tiger Beer was consumed by the British Soldiers, Anchor was consumed by the messes of local drinker.
