Singapore Antarctica Expedition Reached South Pole

The first ever Singapore expedition to Antarctica reached the South Pole on New Year's Eve 1999 after 57 days of sledding. They travelled nearly 1200 kilometers from Horseshoe Valley just north of Patriot Hills. The Singapore Antarctica Expedition Team comprised eight members, seven men and one woman, led by Dr. Khoo Swee Chiow.
