Orchard Road Snatch Theft Caught

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man who is behind a series of snatch theft committed around Orchard Road for the last three months. The victims' mobile phones or handbags being snatched while they were walking or waiting for bus along Orchard Road. He was arrested at a public car park behind Wheelock Place in a police stakeout.
If convicted, he could be jailed for 5 to 20 years and given at least 12 strokes of the cane.
