Friday, 31st May 2013
The Commissioner of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Peter Lim Sin Pang (age 52), was found guilty on Friday of corruptly obtaining oral sex from Ms Pang Chor Mui, the ex-general manager of Nimrod Engineering. Lim will be jailed for six months. Lim also faces nine other counts of corruptly obtaining sexual favours from two other women. The prosecution will decide on whether to proceed with those charges at a later date. A spokesperson from Ministry of Home Affairs said that Lim is currently interdicted from his duties. Ms Pang, a General Manager from Nimrod Engineering, had an ongoing commercial relationship with SCDF at the time the oral sex took place, and was under contract to supply another type of equipment. The judge said that is was "patently clear" that Lim deliberately planned for the oral sex to happen in May 2010 when the verdict was delivered.
Who is Mr. Peter Lim Sin Pang? He graduated in 1986 from the University of Applied Science, Hamburg, Germany with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
