Civil Defence Chief Suspended

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) commissioner Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang, age 51, was removed from his position following allegations of "serious personal misconduct". Mr Lim was placed on leave from his duty and interdicted from their duties with immediate effect pending disciplinary proceedings.
Peter Lim Sin Pang, a Public Service Commission scholar, graduated in 1986 from the University of Applied Science, Hamburg, Germany with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has also participated in the Columbia (New York) Senior Executive Program in 2003 and the Stanford Executive Program in 2008. Mr Lim started his career at the SCDF in 1987 as a fire safety engineer. He receiving the Public Administration Media (Silver) in 2002 and becoming the Deputy Commissioner in June 2005. Peter Lim was appointed commissioner in 2009. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that Lim are being investigated by the CPIB. Lim is also accused of having sex with Esther Goh Tok Mui, a business development director at NCS Private Limited, seven times in return to show favour to the company where Esther Goh was working for.
SCDF commissioner allegedly obtained sexual gratification from Esther Goh between April 2011 and November 2011. Lim has obtained his first gratification with Ms Goh at a carpark near Marina Bay Golf Course and a month later, he allegedly did the same at an apartment in Tanjong Rhu and at a carpark near the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Lim then repeated his sexual relations with Ms Goh two more times in September 2011 at the apartment in Clementi.
The top civil servant allegedly had oral sex with Ms Lee Wei Hoon of Singapore Radiation Centre Pte Ltd and Ms Pang Chor Mui of Nimrod Engineering Pte Ltd in return to show favour to the company they worked for.
If convicted, Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang could be jailed up to five years and fined S$100,000 for each of the 10 counts of corruption.
