Pasir Ris beach reopened

Pasir Ris beach reopened to the public after the quality of its water was upgraded from Fair to Good by the National Environment Agency.
Pasir Ris beach's previous bad grading was attributed to a number of causes which including minor leaks from old sewers, discharge from nearby ships and sewage treatment plants. Used water from the 39 sewage treatment plants in the area was improved. 23km of sewers was also rehabilitated.
